Questions we are asked most

Can you tell me whether I should see a doctor?
We cannot, and we will not try. We do not know your history, your medications or your test results, and advice given without those is not advice. What we can do is explain what the evidence says in general, which is what the essays do.
May I republish an essay on my site or in a newsletter?
Not in full. You may quote up to 150 words with attribution and a link to the original. For anything longer, write to permissions and we will consider it case by case — we usually agree for non-commercial use.
Do you take advertising or sponsored posts?
No. The site carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored content. It is funded by readers, which is why the newsletter asks for nothing but an address.
How quickly do you correct mistakes?
Factual errors are corrected within one working day of verification. The correction is noted at the foot of the article with a date, and the change is described rather than silently made.
